When you think about the commitment, time and effort necessary for the earthly aspects or our lives, although important, one must ask how much time do we spend when it comes to the commitment, time and effort related to our salvation and Church? Is God waiting for our acceptance or rejection? Do we prepare for the Liturgy each week and read Scriptures daily? Do we review and analyze our sins and determine what we must do to change? Do we plan for Confession? When we consider these earthly priorities, they seem to need our immediate attention but with our salvation, it is what we must prepare for on a daily basis! Stewardship focuses on the Care of our self, how we approach the Orthodox faith and how we prioritize our lives. As we approach the winter months, please remember your Church and the needs it has related to your Time, Talents and Treasures as well as Caring for yourself, your family and others.2 Thessalonians 1:11-1211 With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith. 12 We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
